Best ABI market flipping strategy
Flipping on the Arena Breakout: Infinite market is simple to describe: buy low, sell higher. Doing it profitably week after week is mostly about picking the right items and not letting one bad price wipe out ten good flips. This is the strategy we build our configs around.
1. Flip items that move, not items that look cheap
A big margin on an item that sells twice a day is worth less than a small margin on one that sells constantly. Before choosing an item, look at two things:
- Volume: how many are listed near the current price. A thick ladder means you can buy and sell in quantity without moving the price yourself.
- Stability: how far the price swings over a day. A margin that only exists at 3 a.m. is not a margin you can rely on.
Market History shows both: the price ladder with quantities and the price history chart for each tracked item.
2. Price the whole stack, not the single item
You rarely buy one of anything. Work out the profit for a full stack, because that is what ties up your Koen and your stash space. An item that makes 4,000 Koen each but stacks five at a time is a 20,000 Koen decision.
The profit calculation guide walks through the formula with a worked example.
3. Craft when materials are cheaper than the finished item
Some of the best margins in ABI come from buying materials and selling the finished item. The opportunity appears when material prices drop faster than the finished item's price. Compare every recipe variant: often one route is clearly cheaper than the other on a given day.
4. Set a ceiling and a floor before you start
Decide two numbers before each session:
- Maximum buy price: above this, the flip no longer pays. Do not chase.
- Minimum sell price: below this, hold the item rather than dumping it at a loss.
These two numbers are what turn flipping from gambling into a process. They are also exactly what a bot config needs, which is why Easy mode puts them up front.
5. Spread your Koen across several items
If all your money sits in one item and its price falls, every flip loses at once. Running three or four profitable items keeps one bad market from ruining the day.
6. Re-check your margins every session
Margins in a player-driven market close as other players find them. Something that paid well last week may not today. Re-run the numbers before each session instead of assuming yesterday's flip still works.
Where a bot fits in
None of the steps above needs a bot. What a bot changes is repetition: once you have chosen an item and set your ceiling and floor, an ABI market bot can repeat the buy and sell steps for hours without losing focus. We compare both approaches honestly in ABI market bot vs manual trading.
